the anticipation of meeting again
Blues on the Adriatic 2026 SPECIAL by sempre-audio.at at Hotel Kvarner Palace was a truly special experience for me, one that exceeded even my high expectations. Three extraordinary concert evenings, outstanding artists, an enthusiastic audience, and the unique ambience of the Blue Salon impressively demonstrated just how wonderfully first-class live music and the distinctive atmosphere of this historic hotel complement one another.
The very first evening with Peter Kern was a true musical delight, shaped by his unmistakable blend of blues, gospel, and rock ’n’ roll. On the second evening, Meena Cryle and Chris Fillmore captivated the audience with their remarkable musical intensity, powerful emotions, and exceptional stage presence. The absolute highlight, however, came on the third evening, when these three outstanding musicians took to the stage together for the very first time.
This musical world premiere developed an almost unbelievable dynamic. The artists spontaneously found a shared musical language, inspired one another, and completely swept the audience along with them. By the end, no one could stay in their seat: people were dancing, applauding enthusiastically, and loudly calling for encores. These are the moments that make live music so unique and, for me, embody the true magic of Blues on the Adriatic.
The fact that we were able to experience these wonderful concerts in such an elegant setting, against the magnificent backdrop of late-summer days on Kvarner Bay, made the event all the more exceptional.
My very special thanks go to Hotel Director Kristina Bukovac and Martina Riedl, General Manager of Holleis Hotels. Their openness, trust, and tremendous support played a major role in turning our idea into such a resounding success. I would also like to thank the entire team at Hotel Kvarner Palace for their warm hospitality and the outstanding care they provided to our guests and artists.
I am all the more delighted that Blues on the Adriatic 2026 SPECIAL marks only the beginning of a long-term and close collaboration between sempre-audio.at and Hotel Kvarner Palace. From 17 to 19 June 2027, we will return to this wonderful place with Blues on the Adriatic 2027 by sempre-audio.at.
Following the overwhelming success of this year’s event, it was only natural for me to invite Peter Kern, Meena Cryle, and Chris Fillmore to return. We can also look forward to two very special guests: Sir Oliver Mally and Peter Schneider, who, performing as the Spacebrothers, will bring additional musical dimensions to the event.
I am convinced that with Blues on the Adriatic at Hotel Kvarner Palace, we have created something that can grow into a wonderful tradition. I am already looking forward to continuing this shared story with many more extraordinary musical moments.
